Penyrallt Fach offers self catering accommodation in Pentre-Cwrt near Llandysul, situated in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Our holiday cottage is a converted piggery set on our organic dairy farm in West Wales. The farm offers the chance to explore this stunning area and you can experience life on a real working farm as well as being able to visit glorious beaches and spectacular hills and mountains and more.

Our holiday cottage provides comfortable, traditional style accommodation in what was originally a 19th Century piggery. The accommodation is on one floor, with one or two steps in the passage to the bedrooms. The kitchen/diner/sitting room has a wood-burning stove and is fully equipped with an electric cooker, refrigerator and microwave oven.

The dining area has a large farmhouse table with seating for 4 and in the sitting room area there are two sofas with TV, radio, free Wi-Fi, a DVD player with a selection of DVD’s to enjoy during your stay.

There are two bedrooms which are simply and attractively furnished with a double bed and twin beds respectively. All bed linen is provided and beds are made ready for your arrival. Our holiday cottage has a family bathroom which has a bath, lavatory and washbasin. The washing machine is also located in the bathroom and all towels are supplied.

Outside there is a private, wood fired hot tub for guests' use.

All fuel and electricity is included in the rental fee. Central heating is available from the 1st October – 1st May at no extra charge.

The cottage is unsuitable for children under 5.

The farm is run on organic principles and we wish to minimize the use of hazardous chemicals and maximize sustainability in all areas, including the cottage. We, therefore, use environmentally friendly cleaning products. We would be grateful if other types of cleaning and hygiene products were not used. In order to recycle materials as much as possible, there are bottle banks and paper recycling bins to be found in Newcastle Emlyn at the car park and CKs supermarket and also in the car park at Llandysul.

The holiday cottage is set away from the main farmhouse but is within the curtilage of the farm buildings. It is surrounded by a lawn and overlooks a paddock with a large pond. The farm consists of 140 acres of pasture and woodland set on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Teifi Valley of Carmarthenshire. Visitors are welcome to walk over the farm and see the daily routine of a real working farm which includes the twice a day milking of our herd of Ayrshire cows and depending on the time of year, the feeding of calves, lambing and silage or hay making. Wildlife abounds on the farm. There are resident badgers, foxes and rabbits as well as buzzards, red kites, herons and kingfishers amongst many other species of indigenous British fauna and flora. In the spring and summer many wildflowers and butterflies are to be found in the hedgerows and banks that run across the farm.

The Teifi Valley is a perfect central area from which to explore the spectacular coastline of Cardigan Bay, the splendid scenery of the Cambrian Mountains and the haunting beauty of the Presceli Hills. There are many superb castles and ancient sites in the area and the cathedral city of St David ’s is within easy reach.
