Details

Bodnant Caravan Park in Llanrwst, Conwy Valley in Conwy, offers award-winning campsite accommodation. We have won the 'WALES IN BLOOM' competition for touring caravans for 26 consecutive years.

Bodnant enjoys a picturesque location on the outskirts of the market town of Llanrwst in the beautiful Conwy Valley. Many customers return year after year to enjoy our gardens and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The site is all-level, easily accessed, sheltered by trees and bordered by Nant y Goron stream, which runs into the River Conwy. The pitches are either grass or hardstanding.

All 35 caravan and motor caravan pitches are multi-serviced pitches with 16 amp electric hook up, TV hook ups, water taps and grey waste disposal. All pitches are hard standing. Wi-Fi is available on the site.

There is also a rally field.

All 14 tent pitches which are in a separate field have electric and TV hook-ups. Most tent pitches come with the electric hookups are approx 9mx9m. Please note we cannot accept tents larger than 5x6 metres including guide ropes. The toilet blocks have free hot water and showers. There is also a block with disabled facilities. We have a covered dishwashing area, chemical disposal point and a recycling collection area, small playfield and dog walk.

The main gates are locked between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m., and no noise is allowed after 11 p.m.

We also have a small farm stocking sheep, hens, ducks and guinea fowl. Our site is well known for our animal cemetery, marked with little white crosses where children often leave posies of wildflowers.

Many varieties of birds can be found on the site; woodpeckers, goldcrests, mistle thrushes, redstarts, tree creepers, siskins, nuthatches, herons, buzzards, sparrow hawks and house martins are just a few apart from the more common garden species such as tits and blackbirds. When dusk falls the bats come out. The local Llanrwst agricultural show is held every June and the local sheepdog trials are held locally in July. Our own sheepdogs can sometimes be seen herding our sheep, ducks (and customers who haven't paid!!)

We have two well-equipped holiday caravans for hire. Although these are 6 berth caravans, for your comfort we only allow a maximum of 4 people to occupy each van. Each of them feature:

Living/dining room with TV and radio/CD player.

Fully equipped kitchen with full gas stove, fridge, toaster and microwave.

2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin plus pull-out double bed in the living room.

Shower room with toilet.

Electricity and gas are included in the price. There are fixed heaters in all the rooms.

Smoking is not permitted in the caravans.

Parking is in front of each caravan.

On the enclosed picket fenced lawn there is a table and 6 chairs and a rustic bench.

Llanrwst, the 'capital' of the Conwy Valley is an ancient market town built on the banks of the River Conwy. The ancient three-arched stone bridge leads into a town made up of narrow streets offering a plethora of shops selling goods from everyday needs to home-baked bread and Welsh delicacies to butcher shops selling locally produced meat. There is something to suit all palates in the variety of restaurants, bistros, cafes, takeaways and olde worlde tea rooms.
