Wainsford House Riverside Cottages in Twowatersfoot offers a range of outstanding self catering accommodation, nestled in stunning grounds. Our dog friendly cottage offers game fishing in the heart of Cornwall, where you and your four-legged friend can stroll through the scenic parkland bordering the stunning River Fowey. Bodmin, Looe, Polperro, Fowey and Liskeard are easily accessible, as well as the world-famous Eden Project.

Our cottages are based within Wainsford Estate’s 19 acres of grounds, where you can stroll through our meadow and ancient woodland. In total, we have 3 cottages available. All the cottages come with a range of excellent facilities and are dog friendly. When all the cottages are booked together, you can benefit from exclusive use of the communal lounge in The Barn.

Loveny Cottage

This is our largest cottage and from the living room you can enjoy views over the enclosed garden and the parkland with a lake beyond. There are 3 twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has an adjoining en suite shower room. Downstairs there is a kitchen/diner. The living room has patio doors that open onto the enclosed garden.

Parr Cottage

Our charming cottage has a first-floor open plan kitchen/living/dining room with a stove and beamed ceiling. A stable door opens onto the raised deck, giving access to a tiered garden. The kitchen comes equipped with a range of appliances. On the ground floor, there is a master en suite bedroom with patio doors opening onto the garden. Additionally, there is a twin and bunk room that share a family bathroom.

Peal Cottage

This cottage has beautiful views over the garden, parkland and lake from the living room. On the ground floor, there is an open plan living room with a vaulted ceiling and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms along with a family bathroom.

All the cottages come with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, two-oven cooker and microwave oven, Freesat TV, DVD and CD player, linen, towels and BBQ.

Each cottage sleeps 6 people and all of the cottages can all be booked together to sleep 18 people.

We also have Waters Meet available, this is a shepherd's hut that sleeps 2 adults, sorry no pets in here.

Adjoining the courtyard is The Barn, a communal building which has lots of fantastic features, including a rod room with a bait fridge and freezer, dog washroom (with a selection of bowls, beds, cages, towels and throws), games area, kitchenette and a large lounge with a log burning stove.

We are positioned only 5 miles from the tide, with The Fowey renowned as being one of the best sea trout and salmon fishing rivers in the UK. Please contact us for more information about fishing in this stretch of the river.

The local area has so much to do and see. The village of St Neot offers a circular walk and includes a dog friendly London Inn pub. Cardinham Woods also offers walking and cycle trails. You can visit Lanhydrock, a stunning late Victorian country house with a garden and wooded estate only a short drive away. Further afield in Cornwall you can explore tropical gardens, sandy beaches, picturesque villages and rugged landscape.
