Penpoll in Lower Penpol provides fantastic self catering accommodation in a stunning riverside setting. We are based in a tranquil rural setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Lostwithiel in Cornwall. Our cottage offers direct access to the water from the private orchard, ideal for water sports.

We offer accommodation for up to 10 people in our cottage, ideal for families or groups. The stylishly decorated cottage features antiques and is well-equipped throughout.

A dining room comes with a large table for 10 people and an Aga provides plenty of warmth. After a busy day sightseeing, unwind in the sitting room. Facilities include a wood burner, flatscreen TV, Sky, DVD, telephone and WIFI.

Our well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, food processor, double sink, larder and a table with seating for four. A utility room houses an extra drinks fridge, washing machine and drier, clothes rack and lots of storage.

In total, we have four bedrooms: 1 king room with an extra child’s single bed, 1 king room and a twin bedroom that leads through to a children’s room with 3 single beds. All the bedrooms come with quality linen. A family bathroom comes with a roll top bath and there is an en suite for the children’s room.

Outside we have 2 acres of garden to enjoy, plus terraces with seating, a lawn, access to the river and cider orchard. A Weber BBQ is provided for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Only 10 minutes from us is Lostwithiel, home to the Restormel Castle ruins. You visit the antiques and interior shops or head to The Duchy of Cornwall Nursery which has a café that serves lunch and snacks. Attractions to visit include:
