Penpoll in Lower Penpol provides self catering accommodation in a stunning riverside setting. We are based in a tranquil rural setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Lostwithiel in Cornwall. Our cottage offers direct access to the water from the private orchard, ideal for water sports.

We offer accommodation for up to 10 guests in our cottage, making it an excellent choice for families or groups travelling together. The cottage is stylishly decorated throughout, featuring antique touches that add charm and character, while still being fully equipped to ensure a comfortable stay.

The dining room includes a large table that seats all 10 guests, creating the perfect space for shared meals and gatherings, while the Aga provides a cosy warmth throughout. After a day of sightseeing, you can relax in the sitting room, which is equipped with a wood burner, flatscreen TV, Sky, DVD player, telephone and WiFi.

The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, food processor, double sink, larder and a table with seating for four. A separate utility room provides an additional drinks fridge, washing machine, dryer, clothes rack and plenty of storage space.

Altogether, the cottage has four bedrooms. There is one king room with an additional child’s single bed, another king room, and a twin bedroom that leads through to a children’s room with three single beds. All bedrooms are provided with quality linen. The family bathroom features a roll-top bath, and there is also an en suite serving the children’s room.

Outside we have 2 acres of garden to enjoy, plus terraces with seating, a lawn, access to the river and cider orchard. A Weber BBQ is provided for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Only 10 minutes from us is Lostwithiel, home to the Restormel Castle ruins. You visit the antiques and interior shops or head to The Duchy of Cornwall Nursery which has a café that serves lunch and snacks. Attractions to visit include:
