St Margaret's Park
Details
St Margaret's Park in Polgooth provides superb self catering accommodation in a collection of properties. Our family-run park is nestled in 6 acres of beautiful parkland near St Austell and is perfect for visiting a variety of attractions in Cornwall, including The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Lodges
We have 29 lodges to choose from, all offering an individual character. The smaller lodges offer a range of layouts and are based on the slopes with a path or steps to enter them. Our Type E lodges are great for families and are nestled on the level lawns, close to the dog walk and playing fields.
We have Type F Lodges which are near the stream, offering lots of privacy and large covered verandas to relax on in the evening sun. Near the stream, we also have Type G lodges which have an additional third bedroom with en suite facilities, plus a kitchen with a dishwasher.
All our lodges include a lounge/dining area with a TV, CD player and DVD player, well-equipped kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Outside each lodge is outdoor furniture for al fresco dining.
The Engine House
You can stay in our renovated engine house that dates from 1890 and now offers modern accommodation. Please note, there are lots of steps and staircases which may not be suitable for the elderly or toddlers. On the ground floor, there are 3 bedrooms: 1 double en suite with French windows, 1 double and 1 room with 2 singles. A family bathroom and utility are also in the ground floor.
Stairs lead to a fully-equipped kitchen including a fridge, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, television, breakfast table and chairs. Patio doors lead to a decking area with garden furniture for al fresco dining. A flight of stairs lead to a dining room which offers park views. A second-floor lounge with a TV, CD player and DVD player is reached via a further flight of stairs.
You can visit lots of local beaches whilst staying with us, including Pentewan Beach, Porthpean Beach, Vault Beach and Gorran Haven Beach.
