The Old Oil House
Details
The Old Oil House in Boscastle offers superb self catering accommodation. Based in a beautiful area of Cornwall, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.
Our cottage offers lots of original character and was originally an old stone oil store. The property now offers modern facilities combined with original beams and small-paned windows.
Inside we have a lounge/diner with beams, two leather sofas, an electric cast iron stove and a small dining area. This is a lovely space to unwind after a day exploring the countryside. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances: a washing machine and tumble dryer, full-size fridge freezer and microwave with a grill, plus a full oven and hob.
We have 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Both rooms come with wardrobes, bedside cabinets with lights, storage heaters and bed linen. The rooms share a bathroom which includes a bath with a shower.
Our cottage is based in a central location, perfect for exploring the village. There are lots of shops and restaurants around the harbour to enjoy. You can walk along the Cornish coastal path or visit Tintagel and its famous castle. Lots of activities can be enjoyed in the area, including mountain biking, kayaking, surfing, trekking, fishing and horse riding. Attractions to visit include:
