Dating back to around 1312 AD, The Sloop Inn is one of Cornwall’s oldest and most renowned inns, situated right on the harbour front in St Ives. A favourite year-round spot for locals, fishermen, artists and tourists alike, it offers a charming blend of history, hospitality and stunning coastal views.
We have twenty rooms in total, our comfortable bed & breakfast rooms, some with picturesque harbour views, provide a cosy retreat, with select dog-friendly options available. Each room includes tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryers and daily housekeeping to ensure a pleasant stay. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 am in either The Captain’s Table or The Sloop Bar, depending on your room. Our reception team is happy to assist with any special reservation requests.
For a relaxed dining experience, The Captain’s Table Restaurant offers intimate evening meals from 6 pm, with booking recommended. The Upper Deck provides an exclusive adult-only space, featuring a bar, table service and a terrace with uninterrupted views over the harbour, perfect for soaking up the sun all day.
With St Ives’ beautiful beaches, shops, art galleries and the Tate Gallery all within easy walking distance, The Sloop Inn is the perfect base for your Cornish getaway. Places to visit include:
