Oakleigh House B&B offers the convenience of town and seaside proximity while situated in a countryside setting. The B&B is perfectly positioned for exploring the stunning South Down coast, the majestic Mourne Mountains and immersing in the captivating history of County Down.

All our guest rooms are situated in a separate annexe adjacent to the main house, ensuring privacy with its own entrance for convenient access. Guests can come and go freely without needing to ring doorbells or pass through our main home. We offer three ground floor rooms, each equipped with private en-suite facilities including a shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Complimentary toiletries, towels and a hairdryer are provided, along with amenities such as free WiFi and parking. Tea and coffee are always available and all rooms offer picturesque views of the County Down countryside. Guests also have access to the sunroom for relaxation or work.

While we do not have family rooms, those with children often book a double room for themselves and an adjacent twin room for their children. Breakfast is served in the sunroom with individual tables overlooking the scenic Mourne Mountains. We take pride in preparing hearty breakfasts using the finest ingredients, available between 8am and 10am, with flexibility for earlier servings upon request.

Oakleigh House is only a short distance from The Royal County Down Golf Club with its 18 hole Championship course, one of the world's top ten links and there are many other scenic courses with tree lined fairways awaiting our visitors to this area. For those visitors wishing to walk through this lovely county we have The Mourne Mountains with the highest peak of Slieve Donard overlooking Newcastle bay and Tollymore Park with its many trails and tracks. Learn to climb on Hotrock at the Tollymore Mountain Centre. Horse riding trips through the hills, parks and beaches are easily arranged for novices and more experienced riders. Sailing and outdoor pursuits are all available in this area.
