Denton House is a welcoming, family-run B&B guest house located in the picturesque village of Hesket Newmarket, near Caldbeck, in the Northern Fells of the Lake District National Park.

The guest house offers seven comfortable and spacious rooms, most of which are en-suite. Rooms can be configured as doubles, singles, twins or family rooms, depending on your needs. Many of the rooms enjoy lovely views over the village, surrounding countryside, the village green, or up to the Caldbeck Fells, while others overlook the garden.

Each room is equipped with a TV and tea and coffee making facilities, with fresh milk available on request. Guests are welcome to relax in the cosy lounge, which features comfy sofas, books and games and a roaring wood-burning stove.

A full English breakfast is served daily between 8am and 9am in the spacious breakfast room, which also has an open fire and views over the floral garden.

The location is ideal for exploring the Lake District, with walking routes that range from gentle strolls to more adventurous hikes in the hills behind Skiddaw and Blencathra. The village itself is home to a shop and post office and the award-winning Old Crown pub, Britain’s first co-operatively owned pub, is just 20 yards from the doorstep.

Dog friendly, £8 per night, per dog. No limit of number of dogs.
