Stair Mill is set in 2 acres of garden and woodland in the stunning Newlands Valley. These pet-friendly cottages are in the beautiful Lake District National Park, within the hamlet of Stair. This stunning area is peaceful and relaxing, yet only a short drive from the market town of Keswick, Cumbria. The cottage looks out onto Catbells, Causey Pike, Barrow and Skiddaw. We are ideally located for short and long walks in the Newlands Valley without having to use the car.

Mill Cottage:

Part of the cottage was once the village Post Office. It is full of charm and character and can accommodate 6 people.

It offers a living room, fully fitted kitchen, separate dining room and 3 bedrooms. The bedrooms consist of 2 doubles and a twin. Outside is a tranquil garden with seating and a portable BBQ. There is a path through the woodland that takes you to the back gate and straight onto the fells.

The Parrock:

This holiday cottage also sleeps 6 in 2 doubles and a twin bedroom. It provides excellent views to Causey Pike and Skiddaw.

The living space in this property is open plan and is on the first floor, along with two bathrooms. This is so you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Cumbrian countryside.

It offers the same facilities as Mill Cottage, except the log burner. The washing machine and tumble dryer are also in a lockable storage area.

The Lake District is a haven for wildlife and you will often see red squirrels and various birds in the garden. For the adventurous, there are plenty of activities to enjoy including walking, cycling, abseiling, boating and canoeing.

The lovely market town of Keswick is worth a visit. It offers shops, places to eat and is the centre for wonderful walks and climbing areas. Mill Cottage & The Parrock are close to a range of attractions such as:
