Hillcroft Park offers fabulous accommodation to suit every taste and need in the beautiful lakeside village of Pooley Bridge. Nestled in the stunning Ullswater Valley in Cumbria, we offer traditional camping and a range of luxurious glamping pods, perfect for a memorable holiday in an idyllic location.

Our award-winning campsite is the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life, boasting stunning views throughout the year. The park is attractively landscaped and offers the ultimate in relaxation and tranquillity.

We have 2 dedicated camping fields at the park. Camping field Angle Tarn is located amongst our Pods and Camping field Crummock Water is a little further into the park but close to the amenities block. From some pitches at Crummock Water you can enjoy glorious views over Ullswater and the surrounding fells.

Onsite we have 2 fields for tourers. Buttermere is set at the top of Hillcroft Park and houses our wonderful super pitches which are all hardstanding and come with electric, water and grey waste. The pitches are generously spaced, with space around each pitch to put out chairs and tables and savour the breathtaking surrounds. The other touring pitches at Crummock Water come with hardstanding pitches with electric hook up, including 5 hard standing pitches with electric hook up and water.

You can enjoy a touch of luxury in our glamping pods, the perfect alternative to the traditional camping experience. We have two different types of pods to choose from. Glamping Pods numbered GP01-GP09 sleep up to 4 people and come with a 5’’ bed, shower, toilet and wash hand basin, shaver point, dining table and chairs, L-shaped bed settee, kitchenette, fridge, oven/microwave and induction 2 ring hob. The pods numbered CP10-Cp1 sleep 2 adults and 3 children and include a carpet, light, heater and electric socket. They also include a raised decking area, great for a glass of wine in the evening sun.

We have a range of brilliant facilities for all our guests. The brand-new shower block is one the best in the UK and comes with camping bathing facilities. Many of the fixtures and fittings befit a luxurious bathroom at home! We also two private bathrooms, WCs and even a doggy shower. Other facilities include a children’s play area, laundry facilities and on-site shop.

While staying with us you have so much to see and do. The Ullswater Way offers so many scenic walks to enjoy, including the Ullswater Way, a 20-minute walking route around the lake. Alternatively, hop aboard the Ullswater Steamer, the perfect way to enjoy the stunning lake. See some of the county’s historical treasures, such Lowther Castle and Gardens, a particular highlight for tourists. Further attractions to visit include:
