Bleatarn Park Holiday Cottages - Milecastle Cottage offers charming accommodation in peaceful Irthington. We are nestled within acres of gorgeous farmland and just a short drive from Carlisle city centre, ideal for a relaxing break in Cumbria.

Our wonderful property is surrounded by glorious countryside, perfect for the ultimate countryside retreat. The property is on the first floor and is tastefully furnished throughout to suit all your needs.

Unwind in the cosy open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped with a range of appliances for home-cooking, whilst the cosy living area comes with comfy seating to relax on after a busy day sightseeing.

In total there are two bedrooms, one double and one single room. Both rooms share a bath with an overhead shower. All bed linen is supplied and LCD TVs are in the bedrooms and living area.

Outside there is a delightful patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. There is also a separate drying room with walking gear.

We are in the perfect position for exploring the area. The world-famous Hadrian’s Wall Path is just a stone’s throw away, with exclusive access via a path from the property leading directly to the site. Only a 15-minute drive away is the bustling city of Carlisle, home to a magnificent castle, stunning cathedral and award-winning museum. Further attractions to visit include:
