Coachman's House offers exceptional self-catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Coniston. This beautifully converted 19th-century former coach house is tucked away in a peaceful, secluded location, making it the perfect retreat for a relaxing Lake District escape. Surrounded by stunning Cumbrian scenery and close to local attractions, it provides an ideal base for walking, sightseeing and unwinding in nature.
Our cottage sleeps up to 4 people and the the driveway offers parking for one vehicle, with further parking in the quiet, no through road outside the property. The cottage is beautifully furnished throughout.
Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and Bose Bluetooth mini music system and welcome pack.
On the first floor, there is a sitting room with dual-aspect views. There is comfy seating, a traditional log burner, HD smart TV, a DVD player and a well-stocked bookcase. Push on the sitting room bookcase to open up the secret door to the house’s other half. There is a second lounge and snug, with the former including a traditional log burner, HD smart TV and DVD player. The snug includes a chaise longue, local guides and books. On this floor there is a further shower room and WC serving the second floor loft bedroom.
The ground floor master bedroom has a king-size bed and en suite shower/WC including a roll-top bath. On the second floor is the loft bedroom which includes a king-size bed and a skylight for star gazing. All the bedrooms include luxury towels, dressing gowns and sumptuous bed linen.
Outside we have a landscaped garden with a table and chairs and BBQ. There are 2 stone-walled stables and secure bike storage available.
We are perfect for walkers, with beautiful walks only minutes away. Locally there are lots of mountain bike routes or you can play a round at Windermere Golf Club. Throughout the Lake District National Park there are lots of historic houses and gardens to see. Attractions to visit include:

Sizergh Castle.
