Suite: Our suite epitomises luxury, with bespoke design and furnishings. Ideal for a romantic escape or a family retreat, it features a lounge area with a pull-out sofa bed, a sumptuous super king-sized bed with a custom mattress, and handmade British wool blankets from Laura’s Loom of Sedbergh.

Luxury Rooms: These rooms highlight The Black Bull’s historic charm as a coaching inn. Each room boasts a unique bathroom with a freestanding bath and walk-in rain shower and a lounge area perfect for unwinding after exploring Sedbergh’s beautiful countryside.

Superior Rooms: Individually designed and furnished, some Superior rooms include a comfortable seating area, a modern external balcony with seating, a standalone bath, or even a Japanese-style tub. Each room is unique with its own special features.

Classic Rooms: Our Classic Double rooms are designed for comfort with clean lines and natural tones, creating a peaceful ambiance that reflects the surrounding natural elements of water and air.

Dog-Friendly Rooms: These rooms are maintained to high standards, ensuring non-dog lovers won't notice previous canine guests. Dogs are welcome in a designated area of the restaurant; please inform us when booking your table.

When it comes to food, you are in very safe hands, we source our produce primarily from the "neck" of Britain, encompassing the best of Cumbria, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Northumbria. Our meat is farm-selected, ensuring top quality from farm to plate. Fish comes from the coasts on either side and fruit and vegetables from the lush fields of Lancashire and Yorkshire, along with other local products. Our dishes are crafted with these premium ingredients, often with a unique twist inspired by the fusion of Nina’s rich Japanese heritage and James’s Dales upbringing.

Sedbergh is a town rich in history, located at the confluence of four rivers where ancient trade routes once converged.
