Parkgate Farm is a hidden gem in the Western Lakes, where the only sounds you'll hear are birdsong, the wind in the trees and the occasional bray of our donkeys. Nestled in the valley overlooking the Wasdale and Eskdale fells, we offer three luxury glamping cabins, five holiday caravans and a cosy holiday cottage for rent. Surrounded by fields and woodland, our accommodation is perfect for exploring, playing, den building, or simply observing the rich wildlife around us. With easy access to low-level walks, high fells and an array of interlinking bridleways for mountain biking and horse riding, Parkgate Farm is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise.

Harter Cottage

An idyllic three-bedroom self-catering holiday cottage with stunning views of the surrounding Lake District Fells. Situated within its own private garden beneath a beautiful eucalyptus tree, the living room and two of the three bedrooms offer views of the fells. The cottage features a spacious living and dining room with patio doors opening onto the garden and terrace area, perfect for outdoor dining on warm evenings. There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Dog-friendly, welcoming up to two well-behaved dogs by prior arrangement. Family-friendly, with cots and high chairs available on request.

Holiday Caravans

We offer five fully insulated and centrally heated holiday caravans, each with a private raised decked patio area and lovely views towards the surrounding fells, ideal for outdoor dining.

- Whin Rigg (sleeps 6): Our largest caravan with three bedrooms (one double with en-suite WC, and two twins) and a double sofa bed in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer.

- Irton Pike & Latterbarrow (sleeps 4): Each has two bedrooms (one double with en-suite WC, and one twin) and a small double sofa bed in the living room. Well-equipped kitchens with large fridge/freezers.

- Mecklin & Tinkler Craggs (sleeps 4): Each has two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a small double sofa bed in the living room. Spacious living area with stunning views and a private raised decked patio.

Luxury Glamping Cabins

These two-bedroom cabins include one double and one triple-bedded room, a shower room, and an open-plan living and kitchen area. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle.

- Esk, Irt & Mite (each sleeps 5 - max 4 adults): These bespoke holiday cabins feature a double bedroom, a triple bedroom, a shower room, and a kitchen and dining area with an electric wood burner for cooler evenings. Raised elevation offers panoramic views of the surrounding fells, making them ideal for families and couples. Each cabin has an outdoor eating area and a BBQ, fully insulated and heated for comfort year-round.
