Appletrees Guest House is our beautiful Victorian home located in Keswick. Ideally positioned, it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, the bus station, Theatre by the Lake and the stunning shores of Derwentwater.

Many of our front-facing rooms enjoy views of the lake, while those at the back look out over the striking skyline of Latrigg and Skiddaw. The guest house offers seven en suite rooms in a choice of double, twin and single options. All rooms are non-smoking and come with TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. We also provide guests with natural, vegan and sustainable toiletries from Bath House, a local Cumbrian brand. To help you make the most of your stay, we offer a range of walking guides and materials for exploring the area.

We have three dog-friendly rooms available by prior arrangement. There is an additional charge of £10 per dog, per night, with a maximum of two dogs per room. For your convenience, towels are provided in the wet room specifically for drying off damp dogs after outdoor adventures.

Guests are welcome to relax in our lounge with a hot drink and a slice of homemade cake, while taking in the breathtaking views across Crow Park, over Derwentwater and down through the Borrowdale Valley. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

Start your day with breakfast in our bright, south-facing dining room, where you can take in the fantastic views as you eat. We offer a variety of freshly cooked breakfasts, including a traditional full English, omelettes with a choice of fillings and tasty vegetarian options. You'll also find a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, juices and unlimited tea, coffee and toast to enjoy at your leisure.

We also have a self catering apartment available.

Keswick is a charming market town situated in the Northern Lake District, surrounded by the majestic high fells and situated on the edge of Derwentwater. It’s an ideal year-round destination for walking, climbing, sailing, mountain biking, fell running and cycling. For those who prefer a gentler pace, the area also offers plenty of low-level paths and less strenuous fells to explore.
