Inside, the cottage features a large living room equipped with a Smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and CD/radio. The spacious, newly refurbished kitchen and dining area is well-appointed with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer. The dining area comfortably seats four. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower cubicle. Both the back and front bedrooms enjoy views across the surrounding fields.

Outside, the patio is furnished with garden furniture, providing a perfect spot to relax and there is private parking available for two cars. Guests can also request access to a shared part of the barn for storing bikes or canoes if needed.

Excellent pubs are within walking distance, including the highly regarded Hare and Hounds just a few doors down, so you don’t have to travel far to enjoy good food and drink.

Local attractions include the Lakeland Motor Museum, Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, Holker Hall, the World of Beatrix Potter, Cartmel with its lovely racecourse and the Grizedale Forest sculpture trails. Walkers can enjoy pleasant strolls through the fields and woods of the Winster Valley, while the high fells are easily accessible by car. Boating is available at nearby Fellfoot Park on Windermere and cyclists can explore the quiet lanes of the area.
