The Fisherman's Walk Cottages

Stay in one of the four Fisherman’s Walk cottages and wake up to the sight of dawn glistening on a calm lake, where on summer days carp can be seen gliding just beneath the surface. Guests can enjoy fishing from one of the five pegs positioned around the two tranquil lakes. Each self-catering cottage is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, including a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area, fresh bedding, a shower, a welcome bottle of wine, a smart TV and superfast broadband.

The Barley Mow & The Steading

These larger, characterful sandstone cottages were once part of the old farm and are ideal for families. Each cottage features its own separate kitchen and lounge, superfast broadband, ample parking and scenic views across the fields toward Croglin Water. The fishing lakes are just a short stroll away, less than 50 yards from the doorstep.

Onsite Fishing

For over 25 years, carp and roach have flourished in the two fishing lakes, where they are easy to spot but more challenging to catch. Angling here rewards patience and skill, offering a truly satisfying experience for those who enjoy a thoughtful approach to fishing.

Visiting the Area

Walking along the banks of the Eden River leads you through pristine woods alive with wildlife, past charming pubs and places to enjoy delicious meals. Along the way, you can discover hidden caves, explore a myriad of footpaths and stumble upon welcoming cafés, historic churches and ancient stone circles, all right on your doorstep. For those wanting to venture further, the stunning Lakeland fells are just a short drive away.
