Orchard Cabin - Sleeps 4

Our luxurious cabin is designed with comfort and flexibility in mind, featuring a king-sized bed and a double sofa bed, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. Combining the charm of glamping with modern convenience, the cabin includes a private en-suite bathroom complete with shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. The well-equipped kitchenette offers everything needed to prepare meals, including an electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, pans, crockery and more. Orchard cabin offers the added indulgence of a wood-fired sauna and outdoor rainfall shower, alongside a spacious private patio furnished with a dining set, BBQ, and gas pizza oven. To make the most of the natural surroundings, guests can also relax in the large outdoor bath, big enough for two, perfect for soaking beneath the sky and letting bubbles wash all your worries away.

Ellergill - Sleeps 4

Ellergill megapod offers a welcoming blend of comfort and style, with a full-sized double bed and a double sofa bed that make it ideal for families or groups of friends. Inside, you’ll find the perfect balance of glamping charm and modern convenience, including a private en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. The kitchenette is fully equipped for easy self-catering, with an electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, pans and crockery all at hand. To make your stay even more special, there’s a spacious outdoor bath for two where you can unwind beneath the open sky. The megapod also comes with a private decking area complete with dining furniture and a BBQ, plus a sheltered seating space so you can relax outdoors whatever the weather.

Standard Glamping Pods - Sleep 4

Our standard pods provide a comfortable and versatile space with a full-sized double bed and a small double pull-out sofa bed. Guests have access to our luxury shower and toilet block, fondly called the “shoilet,” which features two toilets and two family bathrooms, each with a shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. Each pod also has its own well-equipped kitchenette with everything needed for cooking, including an electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, pans and crockery. To complete the experience, each pod has a spacious private decking area furnished with a dining table, chairs and a BBQ, perfect for enjoying the outdoors.

Static Caravan - Sleeps 6

Our luxurious static caravans provide a welcoming space with a double bedroom, a twin room that can be converted into a double, and a double sofa bed in the living area, making them ideal for families or groups of friends. Each caravan features its own bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, as well as a fully equipped kitchen complete with a gas hob, oven and grill, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, pans, crockery and utensils. To enhance the experience, every caravan has a spacious private garden area furnished with a dining table, chairs and a BBQ, perfect for relaxing or sharing meals outdoors.

Bell Tent - Sleeps 4

Blossom offers a comfortable stay with a full-sized double bed and two single beds. Just a few steps away, guests have access to their own private toilet and shower, while the camp kitchen provides everything needed for cooking, including a gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, pans and crockery. Outside, a spacious garden area awaits, complete with a picnic bench, BBQ, firepit and 360-degree views, creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Guests can enjoy the option of switching off and embracing the peace of their surroundings or staying connected with reliable 4G signal and a TV with Freeview. Towels and bedding for two are provided, with additional sets available to hire for the sofa bed and a travel cot can be arranged on request.

Our site is a fantastic place for children, with plenty to keep them entertained including a large trampoline, DVDs, board games and even giant Jenga. With footpaths right on the doorstep and spacious gardens to explore, it’s also the perfect setting for your furry friends to run free and feel completely at home.

Delicious breakfast baskets can be delivered straight to your door, while BBQ meat packs are ready for you to cook and enjoy. We also offer homemade meals and packed lunches, perfect for fueling long days out on the fells. In the evenings, gather around the firepit for marshmallow toasting and freshly popped popcorn. Our honesty shop is stocked with sweet treats, homemade bakes, crisps, local ice cream and plenty more to enjoy throughout your stay.

Visiting the Area

Howgills Hideaway is an ideal getaway for walkers and outdoor lovers, set in a prime location on the edge of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, providing a warm and comfortable base for every adventure. To make life easier after a day on the trails, we have a boot and paw wash on site for muddy feet, and during the wetter seasons you’re welcome to take your boots up to the farmhouse to be dried.
