Ashley Bank is home to two self-catering cottages just outside the village of Newbiggin-on-Lune, close to Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria. Our holiday homes are ideal for families and friends who are looking for a relaxing breakaway and we can be easily reached as we are only 5.5 miles from Junction 38 on the M6. Ashley Cottage and Beechtree Cottage can sleep up to 16 people.

Ashley Cottage:

This self-catering cottage sleeps 12.

1 double bedroom en suite bathroom.

2 twin bedrooms with shared bathroom.

2 family bedrooms with en suite bathroom: with 1 king and 1 single bed in each.

All the bed linen and hand towels in the bathrooms are provided. We do not provide bath towels.

Gas central heating.

2 cots and 2 high chairs.

1 large sitting room; Sky TV, DVD player and music centre.

Electric effect log burning stove in the sitting room.

The dining room seats 14 comfortably and with an extra side table 16.

Table linen available for special occasions.

Wi-Fi/internet connection.

The kitchen is very well equipped; 6 burner gas cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, 2 sinks, plenty of large pots and pans, crockery and cutlery to cater for large groups.

Laundry room, washing machine and dryer and drying racks for wet boots after a long walk.

The garden comprises of ¾ acre of lawn and orchard, a covered patio and BBQ area, great for children and adults to enjoy outdoor games or just relaxing with friends and family.

Beechtree Cottage:

This cottage is across the courtyard sleeps 2/4 plus a double bed settee in the lounge.

1 double bedroom with an en suite bathroom.

Fitted kitchen including gas hob, oven, microwave oven and fridge/freezer.

Open plan kitchen/sitting room/dining.

1 double bed settee in the lounge.

Sky TV.

Gas central heating.

The area is bounded by the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Pennines and the mountains of the Lake District, and possesses a wealth of interesting locations and offers a wide choice of activities within easy reach of the lakes. The area has every kind of outdoor pursuit from fell walking, pony trekking, golf and fishing.
