Barley Mow Inn is a rural pub that has been around since 1800 that provides ales, French wines and farm cider. The inn is located in the hilltop village of Kirk Ireton which is close to Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The inn is one of the oldest buildings in the village. This is a great place to visit, surrounded by beautiful countryside and plenty of things to see and do.
The main bar has a roaring fire, places to sit and it is where ales such as Abbeydale Daily Bread and Northumberland Bosuns Bitter are served as well as other beverages. The only food served is lunchtime rolls. Outside there is a garden area and benches out the front.
The inn is situated close to the town of Ashbourne which is the ideal place to visit if you are a keen walker or cyclists. There are also lots of places to visit such as Chatsworth, Sudbury Hall, Hardwick Hall, Alton Towers and Gullivers Kingdom.
