The Old Granary & The Cabin are located just 4 miles from the market town of Matlock, on the edge of the Peak District. These properties offer a choice between two stunning accommodations: The Old Granary, which sleeps up to 6 guests and features a private Jacuzzi hot tub, and The Cabin, perfect for 2 guests. For larger groups, both properties can be combined. We welcome pets, as they are part of the family. The Old Granary

This self catering property features an entrance hall with a boot rack and coat hooks. The cloakroom includes a WC and wash basin. The hand-built, painted kitchen is stylish and well-equipped with a range-style electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, dining table for six, high-quality appliances, coffee machine, ironing facilities, two fridges, a small freezer, microwave and a patio door leading outside. The open-plan living room includes a 46″ LCD SMART TV, stereo/CD with iPod dock, electric stove, and another patio door to the terrace. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed with a quality pocket-sprung mattress, an en suite shower, WC, wash basin, and a 24″ SMART TV. Bedroom 2 also features a king-size bed and a 24″ SMART TV, accessed from the landing and interlinked with Bedroom 3, which has a king-size bed, en suite shower, WC, wash basin, and a 24″ SMART TV. The family bathroom includes a bath, WC, and wash basin. Outside, there's a stone terrace with a six-seater patio table, Weber barbecue and a private lawned garden with panoramic countryside views. The Hydrotherapy Jacuzzi hot tub comes with mood lighting and drink holders and is available year-round, with plastic glasses provided. An onsite, secure, gated parking area can accommodate up to six cars, and there's a 22kw electric vehicle charging point that charges three times faster than a standard home charger. Additionally, you have direct access to a public footpath.

The Cabin

Nestled among its own wildflower meadow and surrounded by blossom trees, offers uninterrupted views of the Derbyshire countryside. This dog-friendly, romantic retreat is perfect for up to two guests. Inside, the cabin features a king-size deluxe bed, calming neutral tones and natural textures. Expansive glass doors provide panoramic views of the Amber Valley countryside, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the bed. The cabin is fully insulated with sheep’s wool and underfloor heating for cooler months. The hand-crafted kitchen is fully equipped for all your meal preparation needs. The outdoor area includes a built-in deck for al fresco dining, an outdoor bath for stargazing, a seating area with a fire pit, and a hammock for relaxing while taking in the beautiful views.

The surrounding area is perfect for walking, with direct footpath access from your door. Explore the nearby market towns of Matlock, Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton, Derby, and Nottingham. Visit stately homes such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Kedleston, Hardwick and Tissington Hall, all within a half-hour drive.
