Pillarbox Cottage is a charming self catering holiday home situated within the grounds of the owner's property, surrounded by the scenic hills of Derbyshire and the Peak District. This beautiful Grade II listed barn, enjoys an elevated position near the town of Matlock and is just five miles from the stunning Peak District National Park.
The cottage’s well-equipped dining kitchen features an electric oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and microwave. The room’s standout feature is its impressive 16-foot ceiling with exposed original beams. A convenient downstairs W.C. is accessible from the kitchen.
The living room, with full-length windows overlooking the cobbled courtyard, includes a TV/DVD player, radio and a selection of books and games. A metal spiral staircase from this room leads to the upstairs bedroom.
The bedroom maintains the cottage’s rustic charm, with exposed beams and a gable window offering views of Riber Castle. It includes a comfortable double bed, wardrobe, two chests of drawers and two bedside tables. Adjacent to the bedroom is a bathroom with a full-size bath, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail.
