The Square offers charming self catering accommodation on the edge of tranquil Parwich village, just a short drive from the Georgian town of Ashbourne. We are a fantastic base for those who want to explore the Peak District National Park.

Our spacious holiday home dates to the first half of the 18th Century and was thought to have been a weaver’s house. The property now combines quality accommodation with original period features. Inside the house is elegantly furnished with family antiques and outside there is a suntrap courtyard and secluded yew-lined garden, both lovely places to linger for an early morning brew or something stronger at the end of the day.

The Square sleeps 4/5. Our guests frequently comment on the luxury of our huge beds and wonderful bedlinen. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 with superking beds and a cosy single. Other accommodation and amenities include:

We’re about 200 yards from the sociable village pub, which doubles as an open all hours local shop, stocking a wide range of provisions. Close at hand there’s so much to do – Magnificent Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are a short drive away, the Tissington Trail is on the doorstep as is Carsington Water, our local reservoir. The distinctive towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton, Wirksworth and Matlock are all worthy of a visit and our website has details of many great eateries and pubs, seasonal shows and festivals.
