Beechenhill Farm offers award-winning self catering accommodation in the village of Ilam. We are in a breathtaking countryside setting in the Peak District National Park. The farm is close to Ashbourne and perfect for exploring an array of fantastic attractions in Derbyshire.

Our 3 charming properties are all beautifully furnished and boast stunning views over the unspoilt valley. Set on an organic farm, we offer a truly authentic rural experience in a peaceful and secluded location.

**Beechenhill Cottage – Sleeps 2:** This delightful cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway in a scenic setting. Hidden away around the corner, the house boasts majestic views of farmland. You can unwind in the cosy sitting room which comes with a comfy sofa, real fire, fully equipped kitchen and dining table. The canopied king size bed is the perfect place to rest your head at night and the bathroom comes with a wonderful rainfall shower. Outside there is a lovely walled garden with garden furniture. A great spot for a glass wine in the early afternoon sun.

**The Old Wash House – Sleeps 4:** Our spacious and elegant cottage is nestled in the guest wing of the traditional farmhouse building. The cottage is usually arranged for two people, but we can set up a delightful second family bedroom to sleep 4. The master en suite bedroom comes with a king size bed and enjoys glorious valley views. Downstairs there is a relaxing sitting room with a roaring log burning stove and a fully-equipped kitchen comes with a large table to dine on. Outside you can either relax in the front garden or in the rear patio to catch the evening sun.

**Cottage By The Pond – Sleeps 6:** This wheelchair friendly cottage is great for families or get-togethers with friends. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, while one is at the top of a narrow staircase in the rafters. One bedroom is a twin but the other two come with zip and link beds which can be made as either a superking or two singles. The large sitting/dining room has a patio window to take advantage of the view and a toasty log burner. Outside there is a quaint courtyard with outdoor seating, a BBQ available to borrow, a wall pond, and of course, the picturesque view.

The cottage is wheelchair accessible, with level access from the level parking area. Additional accessible features include a riser reclining chair in the sitting room, two electric profiling beds in the twin, a large wet room bathroom containing a closomat wash dry toilet, low bath, grab rails and a fold down shower seat in the shower.

Onsite we have a stunning Swedish wood fired hot tub and secret cave in hidden at the bottom of the farmhouse garden. This is the ultimate way to pamper yourself, enjoying a glass of bubbly under the stars and then unwind in front of the log fire in the heated cave. We also have a Swedish barrel sauna hidden behind a trellis in another section of the farmhouse garden. Outside there are low chairs and a fireplace with a hot and cold rainfall shower. We are licensed to sell wine and beer. Choose from a range of organic fair-trade wines, local organic larger and some superb ales (depending on what’s in stock) by arrangement. You can also pre-order food here and the organic farm even has eggs you can pick yourself.

Our farm has hundreds of outstanding walks from the door, perfect for exploring the great outdoors. The whole family can visit the Peak Wildlife Park and Coombes Valley RSPB Nature Reserve. Carsington Water is great for walks, cycling, sailing, water sports, bird watching and has a playground for children. For an exhilarating adventure, visit Go Ape in Buxton and climb the high ropes in the trees. Further attractions to visit include:
