Candlelight Cottage is a charming oak beamed holiday home in the idyllic village of Litton, Derbyshire. Recently renovated to a high standard, this 5-star self-catering cottage comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms.

The spacious sitting room boasts oak beams and a natural coal effect gas stove set in a feature stone fireplace, providing warmth and comfort. Relax on the soft leather sofas while enjoying the fine views of Litton village green. Other amenities include a 43” UHD Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, an Alexa Echo Dot, and a selection of games, maps and tourist information.

The sunny south-facing dining kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. The room features pine shutters, a slate tiled floor, and an AGA stove, adding character and warmth.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The double bedroom has a Victorian-style double bed and a south-facing window overlooking the patio garden and fields. The twin bedroom offers views of the village green and Litton Edge. Both bedrooms feature radio alarm clocks, hairdryers, and candelabra lights that can be dimmed for a cozy atmosphere. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, Edwardian style suite, and heated towel rail.

A stable door in the kitchen leads to an enclosed and private patio-style garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Steep stairs and low beams are present, as in many old properties.

Candlelight Cottage is fully centrally heated and hot water is available at all times. Heat sensors, smoke alarms, and CO alarms are installed for safety. A strict no-smoking and no-pets policy is in place, and the cottage cannot accommodate children under the age of 8.

Litton village is situated at the centre of the stunning Peak District National Park, just one mile east of Tideswell, five miles from Bakewell, eight miles from Buxton, and less than 20 miles from Sheffield. Additionally, the renowned Chatsworth House is located just 10 miles away.
