Hartshill and Ribblesdale are two adjoining stone-built holiday cottages located just a ten-minute stroll from the market town of Bakewell, right in the heart of the Peak District. Perfect for families or groups of friends, they offer a cosy and welcoming base year-round. When booked together, the two properties can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 14 guests, making them ideal for larger gatherings or special get-togethers.

Hartshill - Sleeps 5+2

Hartshill is a spacious end-terrace house offering comfortable and well-planned accommodation. On the ground floor, there is an entrance hall, a cloakroom with a WC and a bright dining/living room with French windows that open onto a patio. The living area also includes a sofa bed, which can sleep two additional guests by arrangement. The fully fitted kitchen features an integrated fridge-freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave and washer/dryer. Upstairs, the first floor comprises a double bedroom with twin beds and a large built-in wardrobe, a second double bedroom with a double bed and another built-in wardrobe and a single bedroom with a chest of drawers. The fully tiled bathroom includes a bath with shower over and a shaver point. Outside, the property is accessed via Yeld Road and offers a driveway with off-road parking for two cars. The rear garden features a patio area, a storage shed suitable for bicycles and outdoor gear and a generous lawn with a planted border, providing a lovely space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Ribblesdale - Sleeps 5+2

Ribblesdale is a mid-terrace house offering comfortable and versatile accommodation. On the ground floor, it features an entrance hall, a cosy lounge and a separate dining room with French windows that open onto a patio. The dining area includes a sofa bed, which can sleep two additional guests by arrangement. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with an integrated fridge, electric oven, gas hob and microwave, while a separate utility room houses a WC, washbasin, freezer and washer/dryer. Upstairs, the first floor comprises a double bedroom with twin beds and a large built-in wardrobe, a second double bedroom with a double bed and another built-in wardrobe and a single bedroom with a chest of drawers. The bathroom is fully tiled and includes a bath with shower over and a shaver point. Outside, there is a lawned garden at the front of the property. To the rear, there is vehicular access from Burton Edge, with off-road parking for two cars, a patio area for outdoor relaxation and a storage shed suitable for bicycles and outdoor gear.

Bakewell is an excellent base for a wide range of activities. Whether you’re into walking, cycling, or exploring nearby stately homes like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, there’s something for everyone. The town itself is full of charm, with a variety of shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, parks and gardens to enjoy. A lively outdoor market takes place every Monday, including Bank Holidays.
