Located in the centre of the beautiful Derbyshire Dales , edging the amazing Peak District National Park, Billys is perfect to explore all this wonderful county has to offer, Just over 1 mile from the pretty, historic Market town of Ashbourne, Billys Bothy sits within the 10 acres of extensive grounds and beautiful walled gardens of Offcote Grange an impressive listed building. The flower filled gardens overlook the Henmoor valley and pastureland grazed by our lovely donkeys and over our small nature lake, with fish, ducks, geese and herons. Visitors are welcome to explore and relax on the many seats located throughout the grounds. If you love nature bring those binoculars.

This beautiful, large luxury cottage, has had many awards over the years including English tourism 5 star gold on all occasions we were with them.

Billys is a beautiful detached brick cottage on two floors with arched feature windows, and a large oak framed window and patio doors off the lounge. Full of revealed brickwork, oak beams and doors, and a mix of oak, tiled and stone floors this cottage is a joy in which stay and to be able to appreciate its character and charm.

All 6 bedrooms are ensuite 5 with open showers and 1 with a bath, they have underfloor heating in all the bathrooms.

The bedrooms are extremely well furnished in handmade antique pine furniture with Carrera marble tops, there are traditional, character brass and cast iron or pine beds. All bedrooms have wifi, TV’s, hair dryers, with two cots for children.

Billys kitchen and dining room are extremely well equipped with everything you will need for creating your culinary delights. An oak balustrade overlooks the entrance hall from the kitchen, the units are hand made pine with granite tops. Catering may also be arranged at the cottage for something special. There are many good restaurants and takeaways close by.

The dining table has seating for 12 to 16 people, 2 high chairs are provided.

A large comfortable lounge giving seating for all guests is provided, pine and oak beams, revealed brickwork give character to the room which opens onto the patio and orchard. Complimentary Wi fi is throughout the cottage, a wood stove, Blue tooth speaker, CD Player, IPOD dock and large screen smart TV are provided.

On the patio is a large cast aluminium table and chairs for 16 guests, with a fire pit( wood provided) and a solid fuel BBQ. The hot tub is also located in this area.

There is off road parking for all guests.

Prices quoted are for 6 bedrooms, it is possible to hire with just 5 en suite bedrooms when a discounted price is available.

Derbyshire has something for everyone, whatever the season and guests are welcome all year round for either long or short breaks. There are an incredible selection of historic houses and castles in Derbyshire, National Trust, English Heritage and private for you to visit. These include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bolsover Castle, Sudbury Hall, Kedleston Hall, Calke Abbey, Steam Railway, Car, Tramway, heritage museums, pottery museums abound. There are theme parks such as Alton Towers, Go Ape, Gullivers Kingdom for the children and more such as cycling and water activities at Carsington Water, archery, quad bikes, laser tag and paintball at Wildpark Leisure.

Shrovetide football on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday each year is a must, as are visits to the many Well Dressings and open gardens.

Or for a more relaxed time explore the thousands of walks and pretty villages throughout the Dales and Peaks, with cafes and eateries around.
