Situated in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside, just outside the market town of Ashbourne, Yeldersley Hall offers elegant self-catering accommodation in six apartments sleeping 2 to 6 guests. Set within the historic country house and its peaceful estate, each stay combines comfort, character and a true home-from-home atmosphere for an unforgettable countryside escape.
Yew Tree
The Yew Tree Apartment, located in the former laundry of the main house, offers a charming and cosy cottage atmosphere. It features an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with views across the tennis court, rear gardens and the courtyard. Perfect for two guests (plus a cot), the apartment includes a well-equipped kitchen with pine units, an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with icebox and all essential cookware and utensils. The dining area features a pine table and four chairs, while the comfortable lounge offers a sofa, armchair, TV, radio and a welcoming gas-fired stove. The bedroom includes a double bed with ample storage and the bathroom provides a bath, sink and WC. The apartment is warmed by electric storage heaters, and guests have shared use of laundry facilities in an adjoining utility room.
West Wing
The West Wing, the largest of the apartments, sleeps six and occupies the former servants’ quarters of the main house. It features a spacious kitchen and dining area with a range cooker, integrated dishwasher, microwave and pine dining table for six. A separate utility room offers a washer/dryer and freezer. The comfortable lounge includes a leather sofa, tub chair, flat-screen TV and DVD player. There are three bedrooms: one with a double bed and modern furnishings, another with a double bed and pine furniture and a cosy attic twin room accessed through bedroom two, ideal for children. The family bathroom includes a bath, toilet, sink and separate D-shaped shower. Linen, towels and basic toiletries are provided and the apartment is fully heated by gas central heating.
Stable
The Stable Apartment, once the stable-lad’s lodgings, retains its original charm with exposed beams and character features. The kitchen is well equipped with pine units, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and all essential utensils, plus a dining table for four overlooking the tennis court and walled garden. A utility room includes a freezer, washing machine and dryer. The cosy lounge offers comfortable furnishings, a real-effect gas fire and a TV. The bedroom features a king-size bed and quality furniture, with an en suite bathroom including a bath, power shower, sink and WC. Linen, towels and basic toiletries are provided and the apartment is fully heated by gas central heating.
The Lodge
The Lodge, our beautifully renovated former gatehouse, combines character with modern comfort. The stylish kitchen and dining area feature Shaker-style units, a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and an antique dining table. The cosy lounge provides a charming space to relax or watch TV. The master bedroom offers a king-size bed with luxurious furnishings and an en suite with a walk-in power shower. A second king-size bedroom and a twin room are both finished to a high standard. The main bathroom includes a bath with power shower, sink and WC. The Lodge is fully heated by gas central heating.
East Wing
This two-bedroom apartment occupies the first floor of the east wing, accessed via a spiral staircase from the courtyard and exudes classic country house charm with antique furniture and period features. The kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with a gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a large table for six. The lounge offers a cosy suite, real-effect gas fire and TV. The master bedroom has a Victorian half-tester bed and en suite, while the second bedroom has twin beds that can join as a double. The main bathroom includes a bath with power shower. Linen, towels and toiletries are provided and the apartment is heated by gas central heating.
Clara’s
Clara’s Apartment, set in the former laundry of the main house, offers a cosy cottage feel on the ground floor, ideal for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area overlooks the tennis court, gardens and courtyard. The kitchen features pine units, an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and full cookware. The dining area has a table and four chairs, while the lounge includes a comfortable sofa, chair, TV and radio. The bedroom has a double bed with ample storage and the bathroom includes a bath, sink and WC. Heated by electric storage heaters and a gas-fired stove, the apartment also offers shared laundry facilities via an adjoining utility room.
