Tom’s Barn & Douglas’ Barn offer luxury self catering holiday accommodation in the Peak District National Park. Our five star rated holiday cottages are located in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Parwich which is just a short drive from Ashbourne.

The minute you open the door it can quite take your breath away, Both Tom's and Douglas's Barns instantly reveal themselves as very much 21st Century luxury living, exuding warmth and welcome. Shut the door and you will find yourself in the perfect romantic hideaway for two, far removed from all the pressures and strains of normal life.

You will find fresh flowers and awaiting your arrival a welcoming tea tray with a freshly homemade cake or biscuits. We provide some staple fresh ingredients (some owners call this a Welcome Hamper' such as a loaf of bread, a pint of milk, some butter and half a dozen freshly laid local farm eggs.

There is also flour, sugar rice etc, tea and coffee and some dried herbs and spices. Each barn has its own mini herb garden in a pot by the front door and in the summer months we leave you a jug of fresh herbs from our garden. You will find all household staples such as loo paper and tabs for the dishwasher.

There are books to read, a DVD and CD player, maps, walk books and some well-worn games. You will always find the current edition of the local 'stunner' otherwise known as the Ashbourne Daily Telegraph, Derbyshire Life and the Radio Times.

If you can drag yourselves away there is so much to do in the lovely Derbyshire Peak District countryside surrounding us. Barbecues in your own garden area, countless walks right from the door including the High Peak and Tissington Trails, Dovedale is nearby and Carsington for water sports, Chatsworth and at least five other stately homes within an hours' drive, local fishing, golf, tennis (actually in Parwich itself) and so on. You will find plenty of information in your barn.
