Emily Barn & Daisy Cottage in Carsington offers outstanding self catering accommodation, just a short drive from the bustling market town of Matlock. Set in a wonderful location in the Peak District, we are the ideal place to escape from the pressure of modern life.

Emily Barn: Our superb property sleeps up to 16 people plus 2 people, great for workshops, team meetings, birthdays, reunions, family gatherings, weddings & celebrations. Inside the barn, there is lots of modern comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible including underfloor heating throughout, extracted from a ground heat source. This bright sunny barn still retains characteristics such as oak beams and stone flagged floors.

A well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances for home-cooking including a double oven/grill, electric hob, microwave and dishwasher. In the adjacent barn, there are 2 under-counter fridges, 1 under-counter freezer and a separate fridge/freezer. Enjoy some delicious meals in the dining hall which comes with a large antique mahogany dining table. A separate utility room comes with a washing machine and tumble drying rails.

On the ground floor, there is a family room with 2 singles and 1 futon. Additionally, there is a double bed plus 2 x 4’’ sofa bed bedrooms, sleeping 2 in each. The first floor/hayloft bedrooms include a double en suite and a family room with 3 singles and 1 x 4’’ sofa bed. A sofa bed is also available on the lounge.

Outside there is a lovely south-facing garden with a garden for al fresco dining. Onsite parking is also available.

Daisy Cottage: This fabulous Grade II Listed cottage offers a tranquil setting for a magical holiday. We are ideal for couples, families or friends looking for somewhere special to stay. The cottage sleeps 4 plus 2 people and is beautifully furnished throughout.

A relaxing lounge/diner comes with two sofas (one of which can be made into a quality sofa bed for 2 further guests), an easy chair, TV with Sky and a dining table. This is a lovely space to unwind after a day of exploring the area. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which has a twin cooker, combination microwave, fridge and dishwasher. You also have use of a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Enjoy a restful night's sleep in the double bedroom and twin bedroom. Both rooms share a family bathroom with a bath and WC. All bed linen is included.

Outside there is a table and chairs, ideal for a glass or two in the evening sun. There is also further seating to relax in.

Carsington provides a great base for your stay in the Peak District. There are many attractions on the doorstep from Carsington Water, just a few minutes away, to the Town of Bakewell and Chatsworth which are within half an hour drive. There are plenty of things to do in the local area include:

Riding & pony trekking.
