The Wriggly Tin is a unique self catering holiday home located at Miller's Dale, close to Buxton in Derbyshire. The holiday accommodation is within the heart of the Peak District National Park and is a spacious accommodation that can sleep up to 9 people. This is a peaceful and relaxing environment which is ideally placed for walking and cycling.

Dining/kitchen:

This room has a vaulted ceiling and includes an oak table which comfortably sits 12 and views over the private gardens and valley.

The kitchen with stone flagged floor has a double oven electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. We supply a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and fruit juice plus other goodies. There is a small snug area housing a 2 seater settee, separate easy chair, coffee table, flat screen TV & DVD player.

Lounge:

The living room has a log burning cast iron stove in the lounge for extra comfort on winter evenings. A flat screen TV with Sky plus is provided, CD stereo with iPod docking station and FREE wireless internet access is available on request.

Bathroom:

Attractively kitted out with full white suite, comprising of bath with separate shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC. There is an electric towel rail with sandstone flagged floor and under floor heating. Three further bathrooms spread around the house ensure that the main bathroom never gets too busy.

Loft Bedroom:

Full stairs lead from the living area to a twin bedded loft room, comprising of 2 oak beds and dressing table, two roof windows also with electronic air transfer facility. There is space below the stairs for either hanging clothes or for use as a drying area for walking boots and coats.

Bedroom 1:

This spacious room has 3 separate divan beds, a pine double wardrobe and a pine chest of drawers, bedside tables and bedside lights with carpeted flooring.

Bedroom 2:

Sleeps 2 in a double pine bed, it has a double glazed safety glass full length opening arched window which leads to a Juliet balcony overlooking the fabulous private gardens. There is a double pine wardrobe, with 2 drawers below, 2 bedside cabinets and lamps, dressing table with mirror above.

Bedroom 3:

Sleeps 2 in a double pine bed, double pine wardrobe with 2 drawers below, chest of drawers with mirror above and 2 beside table with lamps. 2 windows provide wonderful views of the garden and across the dale.

There are 2 bathrooms downstairs, each with stone flag flooring, under floor heating shower unit, wash basin, W.C and towel rails. Also there is a separate shower room with towel rail. All beautifully fitted with white bathroom suites.

Outside:

There is parking at the side of the property for 2/3 cars, we also have the peak park Monsal Trail car park opposite with permits for 2 car parking spaces.

There is a limestone chipped patio area with railed viewing point to take in the breath taking views. A BBQ is supplied and there is ample seating for guests.

Pets are welcome free of charge.

Meandering Steps lead down the terraced, well stocked gardens onto a lower patio area with further seating and then on to a circular lawn. The garden is private and for your use.

Millers Dale is a beautiful village nestled in the fabulous Peak District, following the course of the River Wye. From the Wriggly Tin you can explore the hills and valleys along the Monsal Trail, experience the breath taking views of the surrounding countryside, discover tranquillity as you amble along to Water-cum-jolly-dale or relax as you and your family or friends picnic and play on the banks of the River Wye. This stunning location offers you a holiday full of memories, and will appeal to photographers for the local flora and fauna including rare orchids; there are also exciting ascents for rock climbers at Ravenstor and Chee Dale, including watching the abseiling events from the nearby viaduct. The Monsal Trail has just undergone a major overhaul, all of the 6 tunnels between Buxton(Blackwell Mill) and Bakewell were opened in May 2011, and we now have a perfect car free route for bikes, walkers, and pushchairs along the 6 miles (12 miles return) from the Wriggly Tin to Bakewell and back. The route has opened up more breath taking views lost with the closure of the Railway line, and there are new information points along the track to add even more interest.
