The Barn – Sleeps 2

The Barn, tucked away behind Lifton Hall like a secret hideaway, is a single-storey property featuring a spacious entrance for storing coats and boots. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for home-cooked meals, while the living/dining area offers a comfortable spot to eat and relax, complete with a smart TV offering various channels and streaming services. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the bathroom includes a shower over the bath for either a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. Outside, there's a patio area with a café-style table, chairs and a BBQ available in summer. Private parking is available on site.

Alway - Sleeps 2

Alway is perfect for a couple seeking a relaxing holiday in the South West, with Lifton Hall providing an ideal base for exploring West Devon and North Cornwall. The quirky layout adds to its charm, as you enter the apartment through the large king-size bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower. A few steps down lead to the well-equipped kitchen, dining, and lounge area, offering everything needed to eat, drink, and relax. Outside, there is a patio area with sofas, dining space, and a BBQ (summer only). Parking for one car is available.

Sycamore - Sleeps 10-12

Sycamore is the ideal holiday location for exploring West Devon and North Cornwall, perfect for a family or group of friends seeking a relaxing staycation. A grand entrance with a galleried landing leads to spacious communal areas. The large kitchen diner is well-equipped for preparing home-cooked meals and the spacious living room, featuring a wood burner, is perfect for relaxing after a busy day or catching up on TV. Each of the five bedrooms has its own character, charm, seating area, Freeview TV and en-suite shower room. Outside, a large patio area with sofas and a BBQ (summer only) provides a great space for outdoor relaxation. Additionally, there’s ample off-road parking available.

Lifton Hall itself is a relaxed and friendly destination, housed in a Grade II Listed building with parts dating back to the early 17th century. It beautifully combines traditional Devon character with modern refurbishments. We serve freshly prepared, locally sourced meals to suit every taste and appetite. Our menu features good, honest food, with many items made right on the premises. We offer a wide selection of dishes, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. We can usually accommodate specific dietary requirements, especially with advance notice.

Our nearest towns are Launceston and Tavistock and both are worth a visit. Launceston is just over the border into Cornwall and is the county's ancient capital. There is a castle, a museum, a steam railway and a selection of shops, pubs and cafés. Tavistock is an old stannary town and has a number of attractions, including some great individual shops, a large pannier market and some lovely open spaces.
