Converted from an 18th century stone barn, Kingfisher Cottage is a luxury three-bedroom self catering holiday cottage in an idyllic rural valley near the picturesque village of Sherford with its thatched cottages and 14th century church and just a short drive from the ancient market town of Kingsbridge in South Devon.

The property is furnished to a high standard and offers a spacious living room with a log burning stove. It is equipped with a digital television, DVD player, video recorder and hi-fi, as well as a well-stocked bookshelf with a range of books, DVDs, videos, board games and jigsaw puzzles for your enjoyment.

The generous kitchen diner offers a fully fitted kitchen equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. A highchair is provided.

The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, single bed and television. The original beamed ceiling makes it feel light and airy. The ensuite offers wc, wash basin, bath with integral shower and heated towel rail.

The sleeping accommodation is completed by two twin bedrooms, also with original beamed ceilings. They share the family bathroom, also fitted with wc, wash basin, bath with integral shower and heated towel rail.

The gated private terrace overlooks the natural spring-fed duck pond and beautiful shared gardens. It is an ideal setting for al fresco dining with a picnic table and Weber barbecue.

Built in the secluded Valley Springs with its own spring water supply, it overlooks beautiful gardens and a naturally spring-fed pond that is home to ducks, koi carp, and a white dove. The valley is surrounded by farmland and the gently rolling countryside of the South Hams. It offers a perfect haven for relaxation, coupled with privacy, peace and tranquillity.

The nearest A roads to our self catering holiday cottage are the A379 (via Slapton Sands), which leads to Dartmouth and Paignton, and the A381, which leads to Totnes and the rest of the UK. Railway services (First Great Western, Wessex Trains, South West Trains and Arriva Cross Country) also run from these towns to Plymouth, Birmingham New Street, London stations and Bristol Temple Meads.
