This immaculate campsite is set in a mature valley, with an ancient oak woodland, spacious meadowland and lake. It offers the peace and tranquillity of a beautiful rural environment not often found in today’s busy world. It is an AA Gold 5-Star site. The wonderful location makes it perfect for those wanting a holiday with luxury and nature combined in harmony. The site is only a few minutes walk from the beach and village with its shops, pubs and restaurants.

Wildlife abounds throughout the campsite - the two-acre lake offers coarse fishing: it is well-stocked with carp, perch, roach and rudd. There is a delightful woodland walk on the campsite as well as a fenced dog field. For keen walkers, the South West coastal path is just a few hundred yards away, where you can head off in either direction to enjoy the views.

The rugged moors of Exmoor National Park are a short drive away, or visit the many beautiful gardens and stately homes which abound in the area, such as Rosemoor Gardens, Arlington Court and Chambercombe Manor.

On a wet day, travel further afield to visit the factory at Dartington, where you can watch the crystal being manufactured, and spend an hour or so in the factory shop. The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway from Woody Bay Station at Parracombe is Exmoor’s newest railway, and children under 5 go free. On its journey, it takes in unspoiled views across Exmoor towards Heddons Mouth and the Bristol Channel.

Enjoy Combe Martin Bay - a popular place for kayaking and paddleboarding. Its many rock pools will keep the children amused for hours, or there is Exmoor Zoo, The Wildlife & Dinosaur Park and Watermouth Castle which will keep them occupied too.
