Tarka Trail Camping in Yelland is a lovely family-owned campsite beside the famous Tarka Trail next to the River Taw Estuary. Our campsite near Barnstable in Devon is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.
Our spacious, level grassed camping field is a haven for peace and tranquillity. You can wake up to the sounds of the birds singing whilst being surrounded by stunning scenery. Throughout the site, you can enjoy stunning coastal views and wildlife.
The campsite is open from Easter to September and water and toilets are available onsite. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
We are adjacent to the beautiful Tarka Trail, ideal for walking or cycling in breathtaking scenery. The trail provides 30 miles of traffic-free cycling, the longest stretch in the UK. Next door at the Yelland Manor Micro Brewery you can savour a drink or two. Nearby in the small coastal village of Instow you can stroll along its golden beach or visit its brilliant range of bars and restaurants.
RSPB Isley Marsh is a great place to visit for bird watchers and houses ducks (such as teal) and waders including curlew, greenshank and dunlin. The seaside village of Westward Ho! Is renowned for its wonderful Blue Flag beach and great for all the family. Further attractions include:
