The Ash Barton Estate offers wonderful accommodation in Braunton, set in idyllic North Devon countryside. Our magnificent house is perfect for a family getaway, magical wedding or party house for hire. Ash Barton is a complete blank canvas, allowing you to put your individual spin on it, offering a truly special venue in a little slice of heaven in the West Country.

This grand house is Grade II Listed, with parts dating back to the 15th Century. The house is elegantly furnished and boasts toasty log fires throughout, offering a homely and cosy feel. Inside there is a spacious kitchen with an AGA, modern bathrooms and 12/13 comfy bedrooms. The house can sleep between 25 – 50 guests, with most of the bedrooms being arranged as doubles, twins and bunks. At the top of the house is the lavish double aspect bridal suite, complete with a large double bed, en suite shower room and cast-iron roll topped bath. There are 10 bathrooms, with all including fresh white towels.

You can enjoy a warm, summer evening with a glass of bubbly on the main patio which has an outdoor BBQ and glorious fire pit. Snuggle into the sumptuous sofas and stay warm around the wood-burning stove on a starry night.

The estate has 25 acres of gorgeous grounds to enjoy, including atmospheric woodland, scenic fields, beautiful gardens, stunning wildflower meadows and tranquil lakes. You can also unwind in the walled garden or large open courtyard. We even have lots of friendly animals to meet, including donkeys, ducks, chickens and bees.

We are the perfect venue for your special day, from small, intimate weddings to all-dancing weekend-long celebrations. You can get married in the house, in the courtyard, in the old chapel or in the big barn, or even by the lake. Whatever your needs, we will tailor the day your requirements. Our reception/party capacity can cater for 200 people.

Ash Barton is also ideal for the ultimate house party. From twenty-first birthdays with a DJ in the big party barn and fireworks on the lawn, our glorious location is great an unforgettable massive get-together.

Our estate has a fabulous, fully equipped games barn, great for little kids or even big kids. We have heated an indoor swimming pool, full-size snooker and pool tables, as well as indoor 5 a side football, table football, air hockey, table tennis, badminton, basketball and a trampoline.

Only 1 mile down the road is the charming village of Braunton which offers a good range of shops and pubs, plus an award-winning fish and chip shop. A couple of supermarkets, a post office, Lloyds Bank and a grocer are also in the village. You can also cycle along the famous Tarka Cycle Trail or learn about the area’s history at the Braunton and District Museum. Great attractions to visit include:
