The Southbank Townhouse in Torquay offers fantastic guest house accommodation. Based in a lovely part of Devon, we are a great base for visiting the restaurants, bustling bars and excellent attractions in the area.

Our elegant property was originally built in 1850 and now offers high-quality accommodation to suit all your needs. In total, we have 12 beautifully furnished bedrooms available, two of which have been recently renovated. Every room enjoys a unique charm and several boast personal dressing rooms or lounges, plus large bedrooms and modern shower rooms. You can choose from one twin, five kings, one single, two superior kings and one junior suite. All the rooms come with a range of facilities, including:

We offer a continental and full English breakfast to set you up for a day of sightseeing. Our bacon and sausages are locally sourced and our Cumberland sausages are hand-made by the local butcher, whilst eggs come from a local farmer.

You are welcome to relax in the library which offers a range of books to enjoy. Board games and a refreshment tray are also available. You can enjoy a tipple from our fully licensed bar and in the summer relax on the terrace whilst taking in your surroundings.

You can stroll into Torquay’s vibrant city centre, home to theatres, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. Wander along the scenic promenade or relax on the beach. Visit Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, one of the most important Stone Age sites in Europe, or walk around Babbacome Model Village which is set in 4 acres of award-winning gardens.
