Cheglinch Farm Glamping on the outskirts of West Down offers glamping and wild camping in separate locations, only a short distance from the sandy, surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde, Saunton and Putsborough. We are perfect for a magical break in the country.

Glamping: Our 3 gorgeous Lotus Bell tents are nestled in sheltered, picturesque field, ideal for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. All the tents are perched on a wooden standing in their own area in a 4-acre field, ensuring plenty of privacy. They are luxuriously furnished and sleep 4 in proper beds: 1 double and 2 singles. There is also room for an additional child on a pull out a mattress or a baby in a travel cot.

There is an outdoor kitchen area equipped with a gas barbecue, as well as cooking equipment and crockery. Outdoor seating is great for al fresco dining whilst savouring the view. A fire pit is great for huddling around whilst gazing at the night sky. Guests also have private bathroom and toilet facilities.

Children will love running freely in the open countryside and you are welcome to meet our friendly animals, including our lovely guinea pigs and hens. You can also watch the farm calves being fed and see the dairy cows grazing nearby. Children can enjoy playing in the play barn which houses games and activities.

Wild Camping: Our delightful camping field is on the edge of the farm and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The facilities are basic but perfect for an authentic wild camping experience. Facilities include a main’s water tap providing fresh drinking water, a sink with cold water for washing up and toilets. Showers are not available but you are welcome to bring your own portable one. Fire pits are also available for hire.

A short stroll away from both sites is the village, home to a pub, community shop and playing field. The seaside town of Ilfracombe is a short drive away and has high street shops, supermarkets, banks, a public swimming pool, cinema and theatre. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
