Birchill Farm & Cottages in Langtree offers family-friendly self catering accommodation, situated on our charming farm in idyllic countryside. Based near Torrington in a picturesque area of North Devon, we boast lots of excellent facilities for children, including animal feeding and play facilities.

Our 8 beautifully furnished barns are set in 8 acres of grounds including green pasture, ancient oak woodlands, a wildlife pond and an open meadow leading to the stream. Young ones will love our facilities, including a tractor shed, ride-on mini tractors, fairy walks, play boxes full of toys, gnome gardens, a gypsy caravan playhouse, games room and 2 play areas. Children can also enjoy our animal feeding sessions and meet our ducks, goats and chickens.

All the barns are stylishly furnished and have their own private garden with garden furniture, ideal for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. Each cottage comes with a cosy living area with a TV, a well-equipped kitchen for home cooking, beautiful bedrooms and modern bathrooms.

Bramble Cottage: This cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. Features include exposed beams and after a day of sightseeing relax in the cottage-style living/kitchen area. Bedrooms consist of an attractive twin room and king room. Outside there is a private garden.

Bryony Cottage: Our cosy cottage is great for 2 adults and up to 3 children, offering a large master bedroom and modern en suite facilities. The double-aspect sitting/dining room offers a great spot to relax in after a day out exploring.

Elderberry Cottage: This ground-level cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, with a king and twin room available. An open plan living area opens onto a fully equipped kitchen. Savour some delicious meals around the dining table or when the sun is out enjoy some al fresco dining outside.

Hazel Cottage: Our renovated cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children in a king and twin room. The sitting area includes a toasty inglenook fireplace with an electric wood-burning stove and outside there is an enclosed garden.

Willow Cottage: This ground-level barn conversion sleeps 2 adults and 2 children in a king room and a twin room. Unwind in the spacious open plan living area and savour the stunning views after rustling up dishes in the well-equipped kitchen. Outside there is a patio with garden furniture, great for enjoying a glass or two.

Primrose Cottage: The cottage sleeps 2 adults and 1 child up to 5 years old, with a characterful bedroom with a king-size bed offering a cot or junior bed. A lovely open plan living area has patio doors which take advantage of the countryside views. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the well-equipped kitchen.

Oak Apple Cottage This cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children in a king-size bed and a second room with a single bed and cot bed which converts to a toddler bed. A light and roomy open plan space includes a fully-equipped kitchen and outside there is an enclosed garden.

The Granary: This cottage is our largest and is for four children or two couples with up to two children. The semi-circular lounge is perfect for unwinding in and French doors open onto the pretty garden area. The kitchen is perfect for home cooking. Outside there is an enclosed garden with a lawn and patio with garden furniture, great for a coffee in the morning sun.
