Located in Lower Chilverton, this thatched, glass-fronted holiday cottage blends history with modern comfort. Originally built in the 1700s to serve the farm, The Linhay was thoughtfully converted in 2005/6, with its upstairs living space designed to take full advantage of stunning field views. The name Linhay means open-fronted barn and its unique all-glass front enhances the sense of light and space.

The open-plan upstairs area is tastefully furnished and features a modern kitchen, while the two spacious double or twin bedrooms and the contemporary bathroom with over bath shower provide comfort and convenience. Free WiFi is available for all guests.

Situated in tranquil countryside, The Linhay offers an excellent vantage point to observe local wildlife, including foxes, rabbits, hares, deer and a variety of birds such as buzzards, owls and even the occasional kingfisher by the ponds.

Perfectly situated between Dartmoor, Exmoor and the north and south Devon coasts, it’s a peaceful retreat with easy access to Devon’s top attractions. Exeter, just 12 miles away, offers historic sites, museums, theatres, shops and excellent dining options, while Plymouth, home to the famous aquarium and views of warships passing Plymouth Hoe, is within easy reach.
