All the rooms have been uniquely decorated and the atmosphere is welcoming, friendly and relaxed. There is a south facing garden which two bedrooms have private access. All the rooms are en-suite and have an on site parking space.
All rooms have king or super king size beds, to avoid any squabbles for the duvet! Bedrooms are equipped with a 32 inch television, tea and coffee making and free Wi-Fi. The house has a lounge where you can relax in front of the fire and a pretty garden for soaking up some sunshine. There is a fridge in the conservatory to chill your drinks.
Breakfast is the most relaxed meal of the day served in the warm, light conservatory with views out to the garden. Our delicious breakfasts include a wide choice from the cooked menu and a large buffet including organic yoghurt, granola, muesli, nuts, freshly baked bread with Jeannie's home-made jams and home-made fruit compote.
All our meat comes from Durrants Butchers next door, our fish from Salcombe Smokies and proper free range eggs from Happy Hens 2 miles away. Cooked breakfasts are freshly prepared to order by Chef Adam. Adam is a qualified chef with over 15 years experience up to 2 AA rosette standard.
There is a Pub in the village, 2 pubs in the next village which is a 1 mile flat walk on a path and plenty more in the area. There is also a village shop, and a bus stop just outside going to Kingsbridge and Dartmouth.
Down by the sea there are safe, sandy beaches, with hidden coves simply begging to be explored, and wherever you go there are wonderful walks to enjoy, for gentle exercise and the glorious Devon views they offer amidst a diverse range of wildlife and flora.
Inland you will find villages with picture-postcard thatched cottages and old-fashioned hostelries nestling in breathtakingly beautiful undulating countryside, with rivers meandering their haphazard way through the valleys, while in the higher reaches you will experience the more dramatic scenario of rugged, exposed moorland.
Head to town with ancient narrow streets housing independent boutique shops, art galleries & delicatessens and Farmers markets supplying local produce is used by our gourmet restaurants, pubs & cafes.
