Southern Cross Guest House offers comfortable guest accommodation located on the outskirts of the village of Newton Poppleford near the town of Sidmouth in Devon. The guest accommodation is situated in a historic 18th Century thatched cottage.

There are five traditional cottage style guest bedrooms to choose from. Three of the bedrooms are en suite and the other two share the use of the bathroom. All of the guest rooms offer the following:

Breakfast is served in the cosy and characterful dining room where there is a range of food available including a full English breakfast.

The guest house also has some tea rooms that guests can visit. The tea rooms offer fresh scones, light lunches, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. The scones are homemade and cooked at the guest house and with the clotted cream locally sourced you won’t be able to find a more scrumptious scone.

Sidmouth is located around three miles from the guest house and offers a beautiful beach, cafes and restaurants. Guests can also visit Lyme Regis and Charmouth that can be reached within twenty minutes both of which have beaches that are great for fossil hunting.

Guests can also reach the Jurassic Coast which is a World Heritage Site that covers ninety-five miles of coastline offering stunning walks, breathtaking views and great places to enjoy picnics.
