Tidicombe House offers self catering accommodation situated at Arlington and only a short drive from the popular Devon market town of Barnstaple. We are set tucked away down a private lane, amidst a green patchwork of woods and hills - in sight of Exmoor and a few miles from the sea.

Our holiday cottage is surrounded by 5 acres of gardens, trees and meadows, providing a luxury countryside retreat for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Inside our holiday cottage guests will find:

Entrance hall with maps, guide books and local information.

Large cupboard for suitcases, BBQ and outdoor equipment.

Big flag stoned sitting room with a log burner in an Ingle nook fireplace, comfy sofas & chairs plus huge antique dining table which easily seats 12.

Large dining/sitting room with big open fireplace/log burner, comfy sofa, chairs and sunny window seat.

The pine dresser contains lots of games and the bookshelves plenty of holiday reading for all ages.

Back hallway with hooks for outdoor wear plus utility area with washing machine etc.

The bathroom (toilet/bath/shower) is at the bottom of a small flight of stairs, which leads directly up to the bedrooms.

Our holiday home is fully equipped throughout and includes all facilities and features you may need during your stay. Bed linen, pillows and duvets are provided along with bath towels, tea towels and dish cloths. We ask that guests bring their own beach towels.

On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms which are made up as a large bedroom with double and single bed, medium size room with a double bed and a large family room with double, single and adult sized bunk beds. All of the bedrooms enjoy lovely views across the valley. At the front of the house is your own private walled garden with lawn, picnic tables and BBQ. Sheltered on all sides and planted with colourful shrubs and flowers, it is a real sun trap. Its gateway opens into the main farmyard - which has plenty of parking.

Local towns Barnstaple, Bideford, South Molton, Lynton/Lynmouth and the Victorian seaside resort of Ilfracombe are all within 15-30 minutes drive. Each has its own distinctive character and history (all have museums) and as well as general shopping, the first three offer regular Pannier Markets selling local produce.
