A small, traditional 18th Century Country Inn, Durant Arms is nestled in the shadow of a beautiful 16th Century church and offers all you could wish for from a Totnes hotel. Many visitors hire a bike in Totnes and ride or walk the Ashpington Cycle Path/footpath down past Sharpam estate to Ashpington. The more energetic of you might like to continue down to Dartmouth through idyllic riverside scenes past water meadows, marshland, weirs and quiet woods. We'd recommend a visit to Sharpham vineyard where you could enjoy a day out exploring the estate and tasting some of the very best in British wines and cheeses. It's just a short walk from the hotel.

Set in an idyllic location, on the picturesque River Dart, steep wooded hillsides on either side Dartmouth embrace a romantic, nostalgic ambiance. You might prefer to take it easy and enjoy a cruise on the River Dart between Dartmouth and Totnes.
