Greenwood Grange provides 17 self catering cottages which sleep from two to twelve people. They are located within the tiny hamlet of Higher Bockhampton. This is deep into Hardy Country close to the town of Dorchester, Dorset.

Abbotsea:

This cottage is perfect for a couple (a cot can also be provided but has to be set up in the lounge). The open plan modern kitchen with tiled floor and dining table leads to the sitting room area with a variety of seating, television and DVD player. There are French doors leading out onto the lawn. The bedroom has a king size four poster bed and plenty of storage space for all those holiday essentials and an en suite bathroom with shower over the bath. There is natural carpeting throughout and the natural textile rugs add further luxury and comfort. The cottage is very light and airy and is situated at the end of the terrace with easy ground floor access from the courtyard.

Anglebury:

A perfect cottage for the smaller family, Anglebury sleeps three with one double and one single bedroom (a cot is available upon request) and has a modern style of furnishing with tiled floors throughout yet maintains all the character of a cottage. The cottage is situated on the ground floor and has another cottage above. The large windows in the L shaped living area give it a very light and spacious feel.

Casterbridge:

The cottage sleeps six (plus a cot) and mixes modern furnishings and artwork with traditional touches, such as exposed wooden beams and original brickwork on the walls. A private fully enclosed garden with barbecue, table and bench seating leads to the single storey property which has a master bedroom with super king sized bed and television, twin bed room with zip link beds and a bunk bed room. The bathroom has been completely modernised and offers designer fittings in the bath, separate electric power shower, hand wash basin and w/c.

Coomb Barton:

Referred to in Hardy’s poem, The Oxen, this premiere cottage sleeps eight and offers a fantastic variety of accommodation, making it the perfect property for larger families or groups. The main open plan living area has a kitchen with solid wood worktops throughout, is very well equipped with a gas fired range cooker, 2 x fridges and freezers, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is a large dining table with seating for eight and a cosy area for relaxing around the log-burning stove while watching the flat screen television or a DVD.

Durbaville:

This larger beautiful detached bungalow is set in its own private garden. It has four bedrooms, sleeping eight people; one has a king size bed, another a double, the twin has zip link beds and there is a bunk bed kids’ room with cot. The master bedroom with wrought iron bedstead and designer wall fire is very spacious and has a claw foot roll top bath in the bedroom for a touch of decadence! An en suite w/c and hand wash basin offer a real touch of luxury. The twin bedroom has an en suite shower room with fantastic modern fittings.

Flintcombe:

Situated just next door to the main complex Flintcombe has access via pathway to all facilities on site including the indoor pool and tennis courts. A detached house with private enclosed garden, Flintcombe has fantastic views towards the local woodland. There is a large entrance lobby leading to the spacious and light lounge with contemporary wood burning stove, television with DVD player, and plenty of exceptionally comfy seating for the family.

Henchard:

A real one off – this stunning and luxurious single storey large thatched cottage sleeps 12 and offers a huge amount of living space for groups or larger families. Henchard has four very large bedrooms.

Kingsbere:

The L shaped large sitting room, kitchen and dining area is beautifully furnished and well equipped and the cottage has tiled floors throughout, with natural rugs adding a touch of comfort. The sitting room area has a flat screen television with Free view and DVD player and large windows looking out onto the courtyard and pond with fountain, making it feel very light and airy.

Marlott:

This two storey, end terrace cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, one with a double bed and flat screen television and the second has zip link twin beds. A cot can also be provided.

Mellchester:

The light and airy décor in the property matched with the comfy sofa and leather armchair offer a perfect holiday cottage for four. The kitchen with its solid wood worktops and new appliances mix old and new and everything that you may need is provided.

Melstock:

Perfect for families! Melstock is a single storey property with tiled floors throughout sleeping four plus a cot. The contemporary open-plan living arrangement with modern kitchen, dining area and sitting room with television and DVD player means that the family can enjoy each other’s company without being on top of each other. The french doors open onto the lawned area to the rear of the cottage.

Sandbourne:

Sleeping four, this cottage has one double bedroom (with TV) and one twin room with zip link beds, plus room for a cot. The tiled floor throughout the ground floor combined with the modern furniture and artwork gives the property an individual feel. The entrance from the main courtyard leads to the kitchen with dining table and seating for four.

Stourcastle:

This family cottage sleeps four in one double room and one twin room with zip link beds and space for a cot. The kitchen overlooks the courtyard and pond area and is well equipped with oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge. There is a family dining area to enjoy a cup of tea on arrival!

Wessex:

This cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, one with a double and the other with zip link twin beds and a cot can be provided. There is the additional flexibility of a second lounge in the cottage with sofa bed.

Wellbridge:

This is the perfect retreat for a couple (plus a cot can be provided) and is known as our honeymoon cottage. Wellbridge has been refurbished to offer a luxurious and romantic private cottage helping you escape from all the pressures of everyday life. Its own private enclosed garden, with outdoor seating to relaxing the hours away, leads to the front door of the cottage and your idyllic hideaway! The kitchen has solid wood worktops and a breakfast bar with stools. It is very well equipped with built-in appliances and an array of terracotta and porcelain crockery from Greyshott Stoneware.

Weatherbury:

This two storey terraced cottage has kept all of its charm whilst being brought right up to date with a mix of modern and antique furniture. The practical layout of the kitchen and dining area means that meals can be prepared without missing out on any of the family fun.

Yalbury:

This two storey cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with zip link twin beds. A cot is also provided. The sitting room has a flat screen television and DVD player for your entertainment, with a traditional comfy sofa and chairs to relax into. The natural carpeting throughout and natural rugs create a warm, welcoming feel.
