Our award winning guest house offers tastefully furnished and comfortable rooms in a friendly atmosphere. All the rooms are modern and enjoy charming countryside views. We have a double and twin en suite available. The twin has its own private entrance from the rear garden veranda. This is a ground floor room with views across the rear garden and fields beyond. All the rooms include a TV and welcome tray. Please note the twin room is only open at the moment but can be made into a twin or double.

There is a guest TV lounge/dining room with large TV and games, with direct access to the large and beautifully maintained garden. The garden area includes seating/BBQ area for guests to relax and unwind in.

Every morning we offer an extensive breakfast menu offering a full English menu offering a traditional full English breakfast as well as a number of special dishes. All the food is prepared using fresh local produce. Special diets are also catered for, including gluten free diets.

St Algars is situated within Holt village, just 2.5 miles from Wimborne Minster. Holt has its own village green, church and excellent pub, all within a few minutes’ walk. Holt Heath/Forest are less than one mile away. Holt Heath - a 488 hectare National Nature Reserve - is one of Dorset's largest remaining areas of lowland heathland and is owned by the National Trust. Holt Forest is one of Dorset's largest surviving areas of ancient broadleaved woodland and was recorded in the Domesday Book as the Forest of Wimborne. Holt Forest is part of Holt Heath National Nature Reserve. The numerous footpaths and bridlepaths in and around Holt make it ideally suited to walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
