Miller's Huts Dorset at Cann Mills offers fabulous glamping accommodation. Based near Shaftesbury, famous for cobbled Gold Hill and the Hovis ad, at a working organic stoneground flour mill, we are perfect for exploring pretty rural Dorset.

Our two charming shepherd huts, John’s Hut and Miller’s Hut, both enjoy wonderful views over the millpond in a truly idyllic setting. Each hut has an outdoor space, great for a coffee whilst catching a glimpse of the kingfisher. Organic breakfast fare is left in the field kitchen to be enjoyed.

John’s Hut:

We offer cosy accommodation in this rustic hut. Slightly larger than our other hut, it's great for a longer getaway. Inside there is a small double bed with lovely bedding, a Hungarian dresser stocked with tea and coffee for a brew and a small Salamander stove with a basket of wood for those chilly days. Sit around the pine table whilst enjoying lovely views of the chestnut tree, or relax on the egg chair with room for 2 and admire the delightful millpond views. The fire pit is a perfect place to gather whilst gazing at the starry night sky.

Miller’s Hut:

Our delightful hut sleeps 2, great for a romantic escape to the country. Inside there is a comfy small double with quality bed linen, a chair with sheepskin throw adds charm. Further facilities include a small heater, hot water bottle and blankets, rugs, cushions and lanterns. Outside there are chairs to relax on whilst savouring the setting and a fire bowl.

Nearby is a unique field kitchen equipped with essentials, a fridge and gas stove. A flushing loo and hot shower for private use is based in the mill yard.

The beautiful market town of Shaftesbury is a walkable distance or a 2-minute drive, home to independent shops, restaurants and pubs. We are also near Melbury Down and the Wessex Ridgeway. Only a short walk away is Breezy Ridge Vineyard, offering a fantastic restaurant and bar. Coarse and trout fishing are available locally. Excellent attractions to visit include:
