Sweet Hill Farm offers private land for nearly wild camping in a stunning location, boasting uninterrupted views across to Portland Bill in Dorset. Immerse yourself in the many activities Portland has to offer, including horse riding, walking, rock climbing, bird watching, fishing, sailing, or savouring ice creams at the iconic Portland Bill lighthouse. Known as the jewel of Dorset, Portland is a tied island just 4 miles long and 5 miles south of Weymouth, marking the southernmost point of the county. The Jurassic Chesil Beach serves as a natural link to the mainland.

At Sweet Hill Farm, we provide a true nearly wild camping experience. With minimal facilities to keep our impact on the land low, we offer handcrafted compost toilets and cold water taps in each field. Come prepared for the elements and relish the rugged beauty of the landscapes and coastline. We have a cafe and bar onsite. Two dogs maximum, please, any more, by arrangement.

During the day, watch for kestrels, owls and a variety of wildflowers. At night, with no light pollution, the starry skies are a breathtaking sight. As the owners of a riding school, we also offer the unique opportunity to explore the island on horseback.
