Perfect for couples and families looking to enjoy Lyme whatever the season, the cottage provides a quirky, comfortable, cosy and well equipped base for exploring the Jurassic Coast, a traditional beach holiday or simply relaxing in this wonderful and historic resort. The Rose Family have been sharing their treasured seaside ‘home from home’ with couples and families since 1994 so this year we are celebrating 30 years at the cottage - a Pearl Anniversary in Lyme, the Pearl of Dorset. All bookings are dealt with personally by Sue Rose. Our rates are competitive and our Visit England Gold Award is proof that we go the extra mile to ensure that all is right in the cottage for our visitors. Our 'regulars' have been returning each year (with the exception of lockdowns) for over 24 years - some having brought their children are now coming to share Lyme and the cottage with their grandchildren. We know that most holiday let providers have online booking systems and can be booked with just a click but in order to offer the maximum flexibility with a personal approach we ask that would-be visitors get in touch with us direct.

We love having families with young children to stay as we know how much more enjoyable a holiday can be for parents (or grandparents) when you don't have to carry everything but the kitchen sink to and from the beach - it's less than a minute away! We can provide a travel cot and high chair on request at no extra charge. We also have lots of children's books and toys to make fitting everything in the suitcases a little easier. Garden furniture, BBQ and children’s beach toys are provided. A washing line in the back garden means wetsuits, towels etc can be dried outside rather than having to use the tumble drier (weather permitting). The cottage is kept cosy and warm in the colder months by high performance, low energy, user friendly Xana plus radiators and is double glazed.

BOOKINGS:

Weekly lets are usually Friday to Friday although other start dates may be possible depending on the time of year and availability. Bookings being taken for 2025.

No extra charges! No agency fees. Prices per week from £695.00 - £1,525.00.

Our prices include gas, electricity, Wi-Fi, towels for use in the cottage and bed linen, private parking, cleaning and laundry. Visitors need to bring their own towels for use on the beach. We provide instant coffee, tea bags, washing powder, fabric conditioner, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, two toilet rolls, washing up liquid and cleaning equipment at no extra charge. Travel cot & high chair available on request.

Payment: 30% deposit at the time of booking with the balance due one month before the holiday start date unless there is less than a month at the time of booking in which case the total is payable to secure the reservation. Online transfer, cheque or cash.

The cottage and gardens are set into the hillside with steps with handrails leading from the upper level of Marine Parade up to the front door and steps in the front garden with handrails leading to the terrace where visitors can sunbathe, read, relax and wine and dine whilst enjoying the superb view of Lyme Bay. The summerhouse can provide shelter or shade.

PARKING:

Cars may be driven along and parked on the lower level of the Parade for unloading and loading purposes only. We are delighted that we have finally managed to secure a garage in Lyme, a 6 minute walk away from the seafront and can now offer our visitors private parking which, with parking rates having been increased dramatically recently, is gold dust in Lyme.
